Spring always brings such a joy to me as things start to bloom and color and life return to the desert. I hope that this year you will take time to explore the beautiful things the season has to offer that are just a short distance from us. I can’t wait to see the Poppy fields in full bloom or to take the boys up for a fun day at the Tehachapi Loop.
I am so very excited about the 11th Annual Fundraising Auction and Luau on Friday, March 16th at Stripes Lounge! The Auction Committee has been working very hard to plan a wonderful evening of food, fun and great deals. The local community, as well as national businesses, has been so very generous to us again and the auction items are fantastic. We promise there is something for everyone – show tickets, sports memorabilia, winery tours & tastings, baby items and everything in between!
Make sure you join us for this great night and the opportunity to raise funds to support OSC scholarships as well as other base charities and organizations. Tickets will be on sale until Thursday, March 8th. Let us know if you want one because they are almost all gone!
And finally, in preparation for the 2012-2013 Board year the 2012 OSC Retreat will be held in San Diego the weekend of March 25-26. If you are interested in serving on the board in any capacity or if you are just interested in having a fun weekend and getting to know the other ladies of the OSC better, we hope you will join us! Contact Gayle Allred if you are interested and would like more details.

Hello Everyone!
February is a shorter month but even with the extra day this year it seemed to fly by.
March is here and the days are getting longer. The weather is turning warmer and while it hasn’t felt much like winter, spring is definitely on the way!
